This camp is an invite only camp. Kohl's will invite only the best high school freshman, sophomores, and juniors that we have seen in the winter showcase camp tour to attend this event. This event will have a very big impact on the top end ranking of Kohl’s athletes. We will have our senior staff on hand to coach each player, breakdown their video individually, and do specific drill work to reinforce with each athlete the things they need to do to maximize their talent. Our goal of this camp is to get to know each athlete and see how they respond to coaching and how they handle themselves in competition against other very good specialists. We will have multiple competitions at this event. This is the only limited attendance/invite only camp Kohl’s will run in 2012.
The camp will be held at one of the most prestigious high school facilities in the nation. Lake Highland Prep High School in Orlando will allow us to host the event which will feature a night session under the lights. We at Kohl’s are very excited to be holding this event this January. The 2011 Under Classman Challenge was by far the most concentrated collection of D1 talent in the nation. Watch the Underclassman Challenge Highlight Video we made in Feb. of 2011 and you will see household names all over the video. When these guys came to camp last year none of them had college offers. They took this camp and used it to bolster their reputation and confidence. In the months that followed it turned into college offers for so many of these campers. This camp gives Kohl's a great platform to see top prospects and be able to translate accurate information to college coaches.
This event will have ESPN.com coverage and will spring board many of the campers to early offers, much like last year’s event did to last year’s campers. Every camper will have a profile made on ESPN.com and will gain national exposure through participating in this event. Kohl’s will invite the top 25-30 kickers, top 10-15 punters, and top 7-10 snappers we see in our December Showcase Camp Tour.
