This camp is an invite only camp. Kohl's will invite only the best high school freshman, sophomores, and juniors that we have seen in the winter showcase camp tour to attend this event. This event will have a very big impact on the top end ranking of Kohl’s athletes. We will have our senior staff on hand to coach each player, breakdown their video individually, and do specific drill work to reinforce with each athlete the things they need to do to maximize their talent. Our goal of this camp is to get to know each athlete and see how they respond to coaching and how they handle themselves in competition against other elite specialists. We will have multiple competitions at this event. This is the only limited attendance/invite only camp Kohl’s will run in 2016.
We at Kohl’s are very excited to be holding this event this January. The 2015 Underclassman Challenge was by far the most concentrated collection of D1 talent in the nation. When the athletes came to camp last year none of them had college offers. They took this camp and used it to bolster their reputation and confidence. In the months that followed it turned into college offers for many of the participants. This camp gives Kohl's a great platform to see top prospects and be able to translate accurate information to college coaches.
(Pictured above is the 1st Underclassman Challenge in 2010, 90% of the athletes shown landed at a D1 college, and now have a shot at an NFL career)
This event will have ESPN.com coverage and will spring board many of the campers to early offers, much like last year’s event did to last year’s campers. Top campers will have a profile made on ESPN.com and will gain national exposure through participating in this event. Kohl’s will invite the top 45 kickers, top 10-15 punters, and top 7-10 snappers we see in our December Showcase Camp Tour. Everyone who is invited to this camp will know by December 25, 2015 about their invitation to this camp.
