I feel that I am a true DIAMOND in the rough. When I have time to concentrate only on my punting and kicking technique I feel the sky is the limit for me. I attended my first punting and kicking camps ever in summer 2011. I feel I have just scratched the surface of my punting and kicking abilities. I have a very STRONG leg as evidence by my Kohl's 4.5 star rating and Kolh's 29th National Ranking. This year I played quarterback and outside linebacker along with my punting and kicking duties. Although playing these other positions was enjoyable it didnt allow me to devote my time to punting as much as I had hoped. I had nearly 200 carries for 1400 rushing yards and passed for 1200 yards leading my team to the state semi finals for the second year in a row. A deep thigh bruise limited my kicking after the third game, but I punted all season (31x 42.5 avg) with a long punt of 65 yards. My hangtimes are consistently in the 4.0 range with several in the 4.2 to 4.3 time. This summer I devoted two weeks of punting practice before I attended the Kohls's showcase in Whitewater, Wisconsin. It was at this showcase after practicing that I had many punts over 4.0 with a top punt of almost 4.7. This is why I say that when I devote my time to full time punting I will be a great college punter. I want to be a college punter!
I have recently been named the Commonwealth Journals newspaper's - Athlete of The Year - for 2011-12.
I have been invited to be the Kentucky punter representative at the 2012 National Guard Border Bowl between Kentucky and Tennessee All Stars on Saturday, January 7.
