Burbach has attended numerous Kohl's Events over the years. He has shown tremendous improvements in not only technique but leg strength as well. He is a combo prospect who should be able to compete in all phases in college. Increasing the command of his drop should help his punting develop even more.

My family is fully supportive of my primary goal of utilizing my punting/kicking skills on a great football team at a university which also offers the best education possible. I am fortunate to attend Westlake High School in Austin, Texas which is regularly one of the highest ranked public high schools for both academics and athletics in Texas and the country.  Throughout my high school football career I have been punter/kicker on our nationally ranked team.  Although I am young for my grade (I will be 17 upon graduation) it has been been a maturing experience to have been part of the "Friday Night Lights" for which Texas is so famous. NFL greats Drew Brees, Nick Foles, and Justin Tucker are Westlake alum. Our class already has commits at Texas, USC, UCLA, and other outstanding football programs.  In 2015 we beat 6,000 student Allen High School  (breaking their 57-game winning streak) and made it to the 6A - Division I (largest schools in Texas) State Championship game.  We played before 40,000;fans at the Houston Texans' NRG Stadium.  Unfortunately, we lost in OT, ending the season as 2nd in the state. In 2016 we made it through the playoffs to the final 4 teams in 6A - Division I. I've worked to maintain an A average while taking 11 AP/PreAP courses (so far), playing 4 sports (football, lacrosse, tennis and track), working, and volunteering.  Our lacrosse and tennis teams are, like football, always ranked among the best teams in Texas.  Starting in my Junior year I made punting/kicking my top priority in sports. My coaches have worked hard with me to develop my kicking strengths of accuracy and distance and my punting strengths of height and placement at distance. Texas high schools play by NCAAA football rules; therefore, there are no automatic touchbacks.  As a result, our head coach prefers kickoffs to land within the playing field, because our good coverage is usually able to keep returns signficantly within the 25 yard line.  We normally opt not to attempt field goals because our offense averages about 40 points per game.  However, I have won several kicking competitions; including 56 yard field goals and 65+ yard kickoffs. Outside of academics and sports, my main job to earn gas/spending money is working as a referee for Central Texas Youth Lacrosse. I interned for political campaigns the last two summers. I am President and Founder of BAM!, a charity group that includes 35 of my friends. BAM! has provided over 1000 community service hours to our community.
