Ray was recently in attendance at the 2016 Texas Winter Showcase. He showed solid refinement and clean ball striking ability at camp. He is one of the better pure ball field goal kickers in the 2017 class. Increasing his leg strength will be key for his college Kickoff ability. Ray attended the NSC in the summer of 2016. Shows good ball striking skills, needs to kick with more “pop” to move up in the rankings.

Other Sports & Activities

  • Bryant Hornets Varsity Soccer Team
I started playing football my Sophmore year after the assistant soccer coach, also the wide reciever coach, took me out to the field one day after practice to see if I could kick. After that day my kicking career took off. I started Varisty this past season, my junior year, tying a school record for most field goals in a single season; 13. I have gone to mulitiple camps to try to improve my skills in kicking, and after going through those camps I feel that I have gotten stronger, faster, and more consistent with my kicks. Before football, my life was all about soccer because I have been playing soccer ever since I was 4 years old; I also play for the high school team and I am a 3 year letterman. But when I discovered my natural ability to kick a football, I realized that I could potentially become pretty good at it and with the help of my coaches and family I did. I realized that there are more opportunities to play college football than college soccer, so I decided to primarily focus more on football and just play soccer because it is fun. I would like to play football in college and major in Criminology. I also have a dream to play in the NFL which I plan to keep persuing. This next season for football will be my last high school season, and I plan on making it my best one yet trying to break any records I possibly can, including the longest field goal for my high school; a 47 yarder.
