I am a Junior and a member of the graduating class of 2018. My sophomore year I handled all PAT and field goal duties at the varsity level and this year, my junior year, I handled all kicking duties including FG’s, PAT’s, punting, and kick offs. As I was the only available kicker, I have also played a full JV schedule the past two years, meaning I have over 40 games worth of experience in consecutive seasons. This year I won the special teams player of the year for my team, I was an all- conference honorary mention for place- kicker my junior year, I appear four times in the Bishop Luers football record book and look to appear many more times by the end of my senior year. Over the past two years I feel that I have earned my coaches and teammates trust and respect through hard work in the off season and with my high level of game preparation. I try to be a leader to the under classmen by participating in all off season workouts, camps, and practices. I have also been participating in Ray Guy/Prokicker and Kohl’s kicking academies for 5 years and will continue to do so this off season. I also feel that the high level of talent within both my team and the SAC conference have prepared me to play at a high level of competition. As a student, I currently have a 3.4 GPA and plan to take my SATs this winter. As for extracurricular activities, I actively serve in Church, I am a leader in our student outreach program (Sodalitas), I am a member of our Knights for Life program, a member of student council, a student ambassador, and a freshmen mentor. My goals for this off season as an athlete are to gain greater leg speed, increase my flexibility, and increase my core strength. I begin my kicking and team workouts after the first of January with the goal to increase my number of touchbacks on kick offs and distance on punts. I feel that this is the best way I can contribute to my team and make myself absolutely reliable to my coaches. I also plan on working with my holder and snapper during the off season to become as automatic as possible.
