2012 Kickers National Rating System

12/31/11 - This is the 3rd of 3 rankings Kohl's will do this year. We only evaluate campers that we have personally seen at a Kohl's camp. In order to assure yourself a ranking you must attend a Kohl's Showcase camp or the Scholarship camp. When ranking we ask the question, "If there was a college game today, is this athlete ready to help a college team win?". We look at the camp charts and take into account the different conditions at each camp. We also look strongly at how an athlete performs in drill work when they know they are being evaluated and graded. We see how they handle pressure and react in the camp competitions. We see certain athletes multiple times a year and try to grade them on their average performance. RANKINGS NOTE: Kohl's sees more athletes than anyone else in America at our 105 events. There may be over 200 Kohl's high school seniors playing college football next season. There are many good prospects at the 4.0 and 4.5 star levels that will start in college in the future.

7 Griffith, Adam 175 5' 9" Adam has one of the strongest legs in the country. He has some of the best height in the country on his FG's and his KO's. He may have the most potential as a kicker in the country. He does need to refine his transfer on FG's and become more consistent with his approach. 8 Federico, Kyle 165 6' O" Kyle is one of the most talented all around prospects in the country. He has the ability to do all three disciplines in college. He hit multiple 80 yard KO's in training camp earlier this summer. Kyle Has tremendous athleticism and has the ability to make corrections on the fly. Kyle has tremendous tempo and fluidity on FG's and KO's. His transfer up and through the ball is effortless. One of the best combo's in the country. FL Rutgers
9 Rose, Nicholas 195 6' 2" Nick blew us away at the Texas Showcase Camp in April of 2011, runs a 4.4 40 yard dash, hits huge KO's 4.2-4.3 hang-times, made 8 FG in windy tough conditions, little raw on his FG approach, new to kicking, D1 scholarship kicker, huge talent, hits a great ball off the ground, focused on reaching his potential, has top 5 leg in the nation, FG were solid at the National Scholarship Camp in July of 2011, should do well at new hs (Highland Park, TX). 10 Oberkrom, Jaden 176 6' 3" Smooth and powerful, kicks FG off the ground like an athlete that is years older. A D1 kicker. Showed very well at Underclassman Challenge, had the best day kicking on Jan 9, 2011, he hit multiple 4.1 hang-times on his KO's and his FG off the ground were D1 scholarship level, needs to show this consistency 365 days a year, strong senior season will be a key, had another D1 FG day at the Texas Showcase, his FG height is better than most current D1 starters TX TCU
11 Lincoln, James 181 5' 11" James does not miss inside of 50 yards, hits a clean ball off the ground, brother 4 year starter at Tennessee, understands football, handles pressure extremely well, only difference between him and top guys is height on his KO's and FG, D1 scholarship kicker, I trust him and in his ability to make the big kick, more mature than his age would indicate FL
12 Hawkins, Ryan 185 5' 11" Ryan hit 65 yard FG at AZ training camp and was in a class by himself at the Western Showcase camp, KO are huge, kicks well off the ground and should be a D1 scholarship guy, huge FG range, punting has gotten much better, still needs some refining but graded out as a 5 star punter at the National Scholarship camp in 2011, good mind set, confident and very talented AZ Northern Arizona
13 Puyol, Bobby 165 6' O" Bobby is a fast legged kicker/punter who also plays QB at a Florida Powerhouse, has fast leg speed and ability to compete, does need to work off the ground on his FG, his KO's are impressive, his punting needs some refinement but is a D1 kicking prospect. 14 Sobiesk, Evan 178 5' 9" Evan is one of the best pure ball strikers in his class. His lift, straightness, and consistency on FG's is impressive. His tempo is great on KO's but he needs to continue to work on his foot position on his ball strike on KO's to really maximize the energy that he creates on his approach. 15 Griggs, Paul 190 6' 1" Paul has trained multiple times with us recently and shown that he is a top 15 kicker and punter, rare to have an athlete who is so skilled at both disciplines, he has a D1 KO leg, and seems very comfortable at repeating his FG motion, great student/athlete, good frame and will continue to get stronger in the years to come NC Purdue
16 Reisner, David 195 6' O" Hit 57 yard FG at Midwest Showcase in 2009, Competed at Underclassman Challenge, he had an outstanding National Scholarship camp in both kicking and punting in 2010, Punting could be very good, KO's were huge in Orlando, hit a 5.0 hang-time during punting competition as well, caught our eye with KO in Orlando, FG off the ground are strong, Impressive charts at the National Scholarship Camp in July of 2011 IL Navy
17 Knuffman, Nathan 200 6' O" Nathan's FG consistency was most impressive at the 2011 National Scholarship Camp, Nathan showed he belonged with the best in the nation, KO's are huge, also has hit multiple 5 sec. hangs on punts at multiple Kohl's camps IL Western Illinois
18 Bullock, George 195 6' 2" George hits 5.0 star KO's, his FG are solid but not at the same level, punting is improving, the ball comes off his foot very fast, looks like a D1 kicker, great tools to work with, consistency could still improve TN Tennessee
19 McMorrow, Seamus 180 6' O" Seamus has attended multiple Kohl's training events. His latest was in August of 2011. He is a D1 specialist. His kicking is slightly ahead of his punting, but his punting has rapidly improved, Seamus made a 58 yard FG in a game last season, His KO's are generally 70 yards with 4 seconds of hang-time, has top 10 talent in the nation, would like to see him compete head to head to move into top 10 range, someone to watch for, a top CA k/p prospect, ball really jumps off his foot, great potential CA San Diego State
20 Patterson, Kaleb 160 5' 9" Kaleb is a D1 kicker, ball explodes off his foot, gets great height on FG, has a motion that is repeatable, very coordinated, Kaleb is a great college prospect. Kaleb had a wonderful season by making 18 FG's with a long of 50 en route to winning the state title for a South Carolina High School Power, he needs to add more hang-time on his KO's, won Southern Showcase Camp with wind aided 63 yd FG, showed well on FG at the National Scholarship Camp in July of 2011, "Gamer" SC Miami (OH)
21 Oehrle, Drew 147 6' O" Drew has a strong KO leg which is why he is rated a 5.0 Star kicker, his FG are also at the 5.0 level currently, he needs refinement to reach his FG potential. Drew will see significant increases in distance and power with improved strength and mass. Drew was outstanding on KO's at the National Scholarship Camp by finishing 23rd overall on KO's at the 2011 Scholarship camp. Drew finished tied for 5th on FG's at the 2011 Scholarship. 22 Leininger, Cole 190 6' 2" Cole is a very impressive kicker/punter, ball jumps off his foot, he is a D1 kicker and punter, 2nd best combo guy behind Pinion, FG off the ground were solid at Gainesville camp, great student, strong mentally, great range on FG, KO's need work to match FG range, if he can get his KO steps down he has the talent to move up into he rankings, another big time talent in a very good 2012 class FL University of California
23 Bell, Devon 185 6' 3" Devon has attended multiple Kohl's camps and has one of the top 5 legs in the nation, has hit huge KO's and punts, 80 yard KO/5 second hangs on punts, needs to refine his technique to become a complete specialist, upside is huge for Devon, special talent one of the most explosive athletes we have seen. 24 Abbott, Brooks 180 6' 2" Brooks is definitely a prospect to watch. He has great tempo on his FG's, he gets great lift and hits a straight ball. His tempo and consistency need to continue to improve on KO's to really maximize his frame and skill. Brooks with some tuning could also be a top notch punter, he has a very fast and athletic leg, which he uses to create good hang time and distance on punts. FL Virginia Tech*
25 Criswell, Nathan 175 5' 11" Nathan had a great charting day at the Midwest Showcase Camp, his KO's and FG were solid, he had a good drill work session but not great, ball needs to come off his foot cleaner and more consistent to move up in the rankings, has great potential IA

27 Behr, Brandon 181 6' O" Brandon attended the Southern Showcase in December of 2011, he showed very well at camp, his KO and FG looked like a D1 kicker, he does need to work on skipping through the ball on FG, he should be able to compete early in his college career, has a strong leg and a lot of natural talent, rhythm and tempo should improve as he gets older FL
28 Netten, Cole 190 6' 1" Cole plays at a traditional kicking power. Has attended multiple Kohl's training camps, Had solid season and has shown college talent, one of the most pure ball strikers in the class, KO's will be key to Cole's final ranking, I trust him on FG, KO's need more hang and distance to be an elite kicker, I feel he has the tools to improve his kick offs, great attitude, showed flashes of 70 yd+ KO's at the UC Challenge IA Iowa State

30 Sunanon, Aleem 178 5' 9" Aleem has attended multiple Kohl's events and shown tremendous heart and competitiveness, finished 18th at National Scholarship Camp on KO, he is a competitor, a college level k/p, one of the best hs drops in punting that I have seen, hit consistent 4.0-4.1 hang-times on his kick offs, his "A" ball in punting and kick offs are more impressive than on his FG off the ground, smooth rhythm on his FG, will make everything inside of 50 yards away, someone to watch for in the 2012 class, fg range is at 4.5 level, but KO and Punts are at the 5.0 level, ability to focus and compete are at the 5.0 star level FL University of South Alabama

32 Coluzzi, Ron 185 5' 10" Ron competed at the Midwest Showcase camp in May of 2011, he consistently was able to hit FG from 52-55 yards away, he has college level range off the ground, his kick offs are solid as well, indoors he consistently went between 65-70 on his kick offs, his ability to compete and focus are very impressive, to move up needs to clean up follow through and improve his KO's slightly, should be a scholarship kicker for the 2012 class IL Central Michigan
33 Handrahan, Warren 170 5' 7" Warren is an impressive kicker, he has D1 leg strength and is solid off the ground on FG, he showed well at the 2011 National Scholarship Camp on his KO, needs some FG refinement but overall good prospect. 35 Durkee, Korey 204 6' 4" Korey has a great frame to build strength on, he has a smooth repeatable form on FG's, he showed well on FG's by making 7 at the 2010 December Western Showcase, his KO steps need to become more consistent which will greatly help improve his distance and consistency, punting potential is very good, hands and rhythm need to improve, showed very well at the UC Challenge in both kicking and punting, hit very well at the Western Showcase Camp in Dec of 2011 WA U of Washington

Pritchard, Thomas 150 5' 10" Thomas had a solid showing at the Southern Showcase Camp in December of 2010, he showed a strong leg at times, his kick offs and FG both need to become more consistent to move up in the rankings, his "A" ball is good GA

Sauer, Grant 175 6' 1" Grant needs to feel comfortable while kicking, he rushes himself too much and puts additional stress on himself to perform. He needs to become more consistent with his drop on his punts. Increasing leg strength and his calmness while performing will also greatly benefit his ability. VA
Schnelbach, Jacob 162 5' 9" Jake gets great height on his kicks. He greatly needs to work on smoothing up his form. Confidence in his abilities will lead to big gains in the consistency department. Continuing to increase his leg strength will be key for moving up the rankings. PA

Underhill, Todd 134 5' 5" Todd has smooth form on his FG's his leg strength can be increased, in punting he has a tendency to step to the right when coming up and through the ball, on FG's he can work on staying straight through the ball and trying to transfer as much power as he through the football.
