2013 Kickers National Rating System

06/01/12 - This is the 1st of 3 rankings Kohl's will do this year. We only evaluate campers that we have personally seen at a Kohl's camp. In order to assure yourself a ranking you must attend a Kohl's Showcase camp or the Scholarship camp. When ranking we ask the question, "If there was a college game today, is this athlete ready to help a college team win?". We look at the camp charts and take into account the different conditions at each camp. We also look strongly at how an athlete performs in drill work when they know they are being evaluated and graded. We see how they handle pressure and react in the camp competitions. We see certain athletes multiple times a year and try to grade them on their average performance. RANKINGS NOTE: Kohl's sees more athletes than anyone else in America at our 105 events. There may be over 200 Kohl's high school seniors playing college football next season. There are many good prospects at the 4.0 and 4.5 star levels that will start in college in the future.

20 King, Jonathan 160 6' 2" Jonathan King impressed many staff members at the Southern Showcase Camp in Dec. of 2011, he showed impressive leg speed and coordination for both kicking and punting, currently he is one of the best combo prospects in the country. His punting is slightly ahead of his kicking, looks like a D1 athlete in the making in both disciplines. TN Tennessee Tech
21 Gantz, Andrew 165 5' 9" Andrew continues to get better, his charts were great at the Southern Showcase Camp in May, he kick offs very well for a smaller athlete, great leg speed, brings great energy on KO's makes up for size with leg speed OH University of Tennessee*
22 Critcher, Bentlee 180 5' 11" Bentlee has shown D1 ability in kicking and punting, he is a rare talent that can do both, ball jumps off his foot, needs to get slightly better hang-times on his kicks, drives the ball extremely well, handles pressure well, all-around athlete, good hands, drop adjustment could help his punting effectiveness. 23 Bergner, Miles 200 6' 1" Miles put up great numbers at the National Scholarship Camp in 2011, his KO are at the college level, talent is outstanding, punting leg is special, his greatest strengths will be as a college KO/P, had great National Camp on FG, starting to focus on punting technique, progress over the next couple of months could put him into elite status, someone to watch for CO South Dakota
24 Rouleau, Connor 216 6' 1" Connor showed the best FG range at the Southern Showcase Camp in Dec of 2011, he showed an ability to hit 50-55 yard FG into the wind, has a powerful leg, needs to work on his KO to get them at the same level as his FG range, his punting could be improved through raising his drop slightly GA Jacksonville State
25 Lee, SeungJae 194 5' 11" has proven himself at multiple Kohl's events as a truly impressive ball striker off the ground. SeungJae had an impressive showing at the 2012 Texas Spring Showcase. He made 9 FG's at camp and during drill work, he hit some of the best FG's into the breeze at camp. SeungJae has gotten much better on KO's and is quickly becoming one of the best pure, FG kickers in the country. He gets great lift and is creating much better tempo and consistency on his KO's. his ball striking will hold up in college AR Arkansas*
26 Jackson, Luke 179 6' 2" Luke attended multiple Kohl's events and has won KO and FG competitions vs. 100's of others, his charts were solid and his drill work showed that he is a D1 prospect, can add strength and size in the future, good FG off the ground, gamer, will produce in college, someone is going to get a good one FL University of Missouri*
27 Amick, Grant 205 6' 1" Grant graded out as a 4.5 star level kicker at the National Scholarship Camp in 2011, good frame, KO well at the UC Challenge, FG consistency will be key to his final ranking, need to see improvement in ball striking, as a young kicker he was very good off a block, had good showing at the National Scholarship Camp and showed big-time leg speed on KO, FG were better than in spring. 30 Allen, Alex 195 5' 10" Alex is a kicker who has explosive hips, Alex is able to repeat his motion with good consistency, he made 9 of 10 FG at the Midwest Showcase camp, at the National Scholarship Camp he showed he can compete with the top kickers in the nation, his KO's have progressed and he has shown a high level of consistency kicking FG, Alex should be a top kicker in his region KS
31 Holmes, Bryan 200 5' 11" Bryan is a super talent, he finished 1st in KO at the National Scholarship Camp in 2011 for his age group, has great FG range, needs to refine ball striking on his FG and punts but is a D1 talent, coming off injury, keep an eye on Bryan to see how much stronger he can get this fall, knee injury still is not 100% fully recovered, has potential to still move up in rankings MI Yale
32 Slemp, Preston 185 6' O" Preston showed very well at the National Scholarship Camp in 2010, He finished 3rd on FG for his age group and in the top 100 overall on KO's. He also had a solid outing at the May 2011 Showcase Camp. He trains hard on his kicking, has improved dramatically the last 6 months, FG off the ground have gotten better, KO are legit with 4.2 hang-times, good athlete, punting is getting better as well, would have liked to see him make more than 7 FG in charting and the drill work to have been a little better otherwise may have cracked the top 15 kickers in the nation GA Eastern Kentucky University
33 Antognoli, Andrew 190 6' 3" Andrew's ball striking was amazing during the drill work phase of the Western Showcase Camp held 5-1-11. He was consistently making 50 yard FG into the wind off the ground. His ball striking and overall coordination on kick offs needs work to match his FG skills. His approach on FG could improve by shortening his drive step slightly.
