2013 Punters National Rating System

12/31/11 - This is the 3rd of 3 rankings Kohl's will do this year. We only evaluate campers that we have personally seen at a Kohl's camp. In order to assure yourself a ranking you must attend a Kohl's Showcase camp or the Scholarship camp. When ranking we ask the question, "If there was a college game today, is this athlete ready to help a college team win?". We look at the camp charts and take into account the different conditions at each camp. We also look strongly at how an athlete performs in drill work when they know they are being evaluated and graded. We see how they handle pressure and react in the camp competitions. We see certain athletes multiple times a year and try to grade them on their average performance. RANKINGS NOTE: Kohl's sees more athletes than anyone else in America at our 105 events. There may be over 200 Kohl's high school seniors playing college football next season. There are many good prospects at the 4.0 and 4.5 star levels that will start in college in the future.

6 Barnard, Austin 185 6' 4" Austin opened up a lot of eyes at the Southern Showcase camp in Dec of 2011, his long frame and strong leg make him an immediate top college prospect, he does need to work on molding and getting rid of the ball faster, has a D1 leg and should develop into a good college punter GA
7 Huyck, Adam 217 6' 3" Adam looks like a D1 punter, the ball explodes off his foot, his hands have gotten better, he still needs some work on his coordination but has all the tools to be special CA

10 Van Winkle, Cameron 167 5' 11" Cameron is becoming one of the best combo k/p in the country, he has very good leg strength which is evident by his KO's and punts at the National Scholarship Camp in 2011, His rhythm is good for a younger kicker, has performed well in many situations, KO hang-times are improving, hit great punts at Western Showcase in May of 2011, had multiple 4.7 hang-times, had a huge jr. season. dominated Western Showcase Camp in Dec. 11 Hartzell, Casey 172 6' 3" Casey attended the Eastern Showcase Camp in Dec of 2011, he showed well in the punting portion of camp, he was consistently hitting 40 yard punts with around 4.0 seconds of hang-time, he has some good talent to work with PA
12 Millender, Jeb 190 6' O" Jeb showed very well at the Southern Showcase Camp in Dec of 2011, he then worked on his technique and showed more progress at the UC Challenge in Jan of 2012, he still needs to work on a couple of techncial issues but the ball jumps off his foot very well, has very good talent MS
13 Rouleau, Connor 208 6' 1" Connor showed the best FG range at the Southern Showcase Camp in Dec of 2011, he showed an ability to hit 50-55 yard FG into the wind, has a powerful leg, needs to work on his KO to get them at the same level as his FG range, his punting could be improved through raising his drop slightly GA
14 Cantu, Steven 160 5' 9" Steven punted very well at the Texas Showcase Camp, he put up good numbers on a day that most guys did not, he is someone to keep an eye on in the months to come, showed great "pop' at times, has talent to move up if he becomes more consistent TX
15 Carlson, Daniel 190 6' 5" Daniel is a 6'5 kicker with a huge leg, he went 10-10 at the Underclassman Challenge on FG and hit multiple 4.3 second hang-times, kicks well off the ground, will get better with more experience, seems to handle pressure very well and did well when put on stage, should draw top college offers, talent to be outstanding CO
16 McPherson, Logan 165 5' 11" Logan attended the Southern Showcase Camp in December of 2011 and showed impressive leg speed, the ball exploded off his foot, would like to see his repeatability improve, can be an outstanding kicker/punter, technically can get better AL
17 Meindel, Mitchell 185 6' 2" Mitchell averaged 67 yards a KO which is very impressive, his average hang-time was very low, his FG the last two rounds were inconsistent, overall he has 4.5 star talent as a kicker, just needs refinement to be able to repeat his motion more often as a kicker, punting is where he has the greatest talent, hit huge punts, should be highly recruited as a punter, could be a special punter, progress in consistency is his key WI

21 Holmes, Bryan 190 5' 11" Bryan is a super talent, he finished 1st in KO at the National Scholarship Camp in 2011 for his age group, has great FG range, needs to refine ball striking on his FG and punts but is a D1 talent, injured right now but has talent to be #1 MI
22 Robinson, Alex 190 6' O" Alex competed at the Southern Showcase in Dec of 2011 and put up big numbers in the punting portion of camp, his avg distance was very impressive, he had decent hang-time but needs to improve his avg hang-time to move up in the future, good tools to work with GA
23 Etheridge, Nathan 210 5' 10" Nathan has shown well at past camps, Nathan's "A" ball is very good, but he unfortunately hits a lot of punts that are unacceptable, his talent is strong but his inconsistency hurts his overall effectiveness, needs to continue to work on driving the ball and being able to relax and let his true talent show GA
24 McDonald, Sean 157 6' O" Sean avg 65 yards with 3.8 seconds of hang-time at the National Scholarship Camp in 2011, needs refinement on his FG ball striking, has college leg strength in both kicking and punting WA
25 Hopper, Ryan 185 6' O" Ryan attended the Southern Showcase Camp in May/Dec 2011, his kick offs were impressive, his FG were solid as well, the ball jumps off his foot well, At the 2011 Scholarship Camp Ryan showed flashes of 4.5 star level leg strength, has very good overall talent, consistency will be key as he gets older GA
26 Feely, Nick 162 6' O" Nick competed well at the Underclassman Challenge, he showed solid technique and a strong desire to work hard and improve, needs to get more explosive, has a nice fluid rhythm and stroke in both kicking and punting, family is used to pressure and performing in big moments, late bloomer, someone to watch in the next 6-12 months FL
27 Taylor, Austin 165 5' 8" Austin has D1 potential, ball explodes off his foot, he can hit big kick offs and also perform under pressure, he believes in his ability, punting still needs work and his frame may limit him as a punter, his FG motion is repeatable and his kick offs are impressive for a 2013 prospect, had another solid showing at the Dec Southern Showcase Camp FL
28 Wardell, Daniel 155 5' 9" Daniel attended the Southern Showcase in Dec of 2011, he showed enough on a couple of punts to make me believe he can play college football, he needs to work on his repeatability and rhythm to maximize his potential GA
29 Dentice, Stephen 185 6' 3" Steve has made good progress this summer in punting, his FG consistency still needs work but his leg strength makes him a college prospect both as a kicker and punter. His athleticism is very impressive for his age in punting, his "A" ball is very good in punting, consistency is key for Stephen WI
30 Bogard, Zach 185 5' 11" Zach graded out as a 4 star FG kicker but his KO distance and hang-time need to improve to move up in the rankings, hits a clean ball but KO improvement will be the key, still needs some refinement with the catch mold phase of punting, hit a 61 yard 4.41 punt at Southern Showcase Camp, and showed improvement in punting KY
31 Drida, Steven 184 6' O" Steve is a solid younger punter, but needs to continue to improve technically, had solid showing at UC Challenge in both FG and KO's, ball jumps off his foot, Steve is a big-time kicker who has D1 talent when kicking up to his potential, little progress needed to be a no-brainer D1 guy, has the tools WI
32 Padalik, Jesse 170 5' 11" Jesse has 4.5 star talent in punting, if not higher, he hit a 4.83 hang on a punt at camp in Chicago, struggled with slow hands at the National Camp, but if hands can improve he could be excellent IL

35 Sanchez, Luis fermin 187 5' 7" Luis has a quick powerful leg that allowed him to chart better than anyone else at the Texas Showcase camp held 4-21-11. He did not chart as well at the National Scholarship Camp, but still shows great potential, shows great talent in flashes, KO's and punt distances need to be a focus the next 6-12 months to make a jump to the next level TX
36 Zuzo, Brenton 160 5' 10" Brenton avg 67 yard a KO with an avg hang-time of 3.9 sec., this is someone who has 5 star talent, becoming a better ball striker will be the key in both kicking and punting, he showed progress at the Eastern Showcase Camp in his ball striking, he is someone to watch for in the 2013 class MI
37 Callahan, Chris 180 5' 11" Chris has a solid mental make-up, he is very coordinated and a consistent ball striker in both kicking and punting, his FG range and overall explosiveness need to continue to improve to become a truly elite kicker, KO's are going to be important for Chris, punting was his greatest strength at the Texas Showcase Camp in Dec of 2011 TX
38 Wolfe, Caleb 180 5' 11" Caleb averaged 66 yards a KO at the National Scholarship Camp, his hang-times were very low at times, overall he needs refinement to move up to the next level, has very good natural talent, he charted at the 4.5 star level as a punter at camp, very impressive punter for a young guy, someone to watch for, ball jumps off his foot, seemed a little rusty in Dec of 2011 MI
