2013 Punters National Rating System

06/01/12 - This is the 1st of 3 rankings Kohl's will do this year. We only evaluate campers that we have personally seen at a Kohl's camp. In order to assure yourself a ranking you must attend a Kohl's Showcase camp or the Scholarship camp. When ranking we ask the question, "If there was a college game today, is this athlete ready to help a college team win?". We look at the camp charts and take into account the different conditions at each camp. We also look strongly at how an athlete performs in drill work when they know they are being evaluated and graded. We see how they handle pressure and react in the camp competitions. We see certain athletes multiple times a year and try to grade them on their average performance. RANKINGS NOTE: Kohl's sees more athletes than anyone else in America at our 105 events. There may be over 200 Kohl's high school seniors playing college football next season. There are many good prospects at the 4.0 and 4.5 star levels that will start in college in the future.

6 King, Jonathan 160 6' 2" Jonathan King impressed many staff members at the Southern Showcase Camp in Dec. of 2011, he showed impressive leg speed and coordination for both kicking and punting, currently he is one of the best combo prospects in the country. 17 wylie, brady 205 6' 2" Brady is a good punting prospect, he has the leg to move up in the rankings, like to see his steps be a little more fluid and his tempo easier to repeat, ball jumps off his foot. 20 Watson, Kyle 220 6' 3" Kyle has all the tools to be a top 5 punter nationally, want to see him continue to work on his drop, steps, has big-time power, key will be development in consistency, consistency development is dependent on fundamental improvement, someone to keep an eye on PA Marines
21 Kuhter, Sam 185 6' 1" Sam put up huge charts at the National Scholarship Camp in July of 2012, he drove the ball very well, he did not get great hang-times but was able to consistently drive balls that turned over, coordinated punter, did well under pressure IA UNI*
22 Bergner, Miles 200 6' 1" Miles put up great numbers at the National Scholarship Camp in 2011, his KO are at the college level, talent is outstanding, punting leg is special, his greatest strengths will be as a college KO/P, had great National Camp on FG, starting to focus on punting technique, progress over the next couple of months could put him into elite status, someone to watch for CO South Dakota
23 Tulchin, Michael 185 6' 2" Michael had a very good 2012 National Scholarship Camp. He finished 11th in Punting and he also made 24 FG's/ Michael has good rhythm and is a natural ball striker. He does need to continue to improve his KO's because they are currently not at the same level as the other two, KO's were better at the Western Showcase Camp in Dec of 2012, very good punter CA
24 Holmes, Bryan 200 5' 11" Bryan is a super talent, he finished 1st in KO at the National Scholarship Camp in 2011 for his age group, has great FG range, needs to refine ball striking on his FG and punts but is a D1 talent, coming off injury, keep an eye on Bryan to see how much stronger he can get this fall, knee injury still is not 100% fully recovered, has potential to still move up in rankings MI Yale
25 Kramer, Holden 170 6' 2" Holden has gotten stronger, his explosive development was evident at the Midwest Showcase Camp where he hit a 57 yard 5.10 punt, has a short compact 2 step approach, frame will continue to add weight, technically solid punter, leg strength has improved to the D1 level, consistent for a hs punter IA Iowa State*
26 Antognoli, Andrew 190 6' 3" Andrew's ball striking was amazing during the drill work phase of the Western Showcase Camp held 5-1-11. He was consistently making 50 yard FG into the wind off the ground. His ball striking and overall coordination on kick offs needs work to match his FG skills. His approach on FG could improve by shortening his drive step slightly. Overall Andrew is a big-time prospect. showed improvement on his KO at National Scholarship Camp, punting is improving, could be a factor in early recruiting, has talent to move up in rankings CA Notre Dame*

28 Petroni, David 145 5' 11" David's punting rhythm and hang-times are college level, someone who seems to be able to focus and perform, David hit some 4.8-5.0 hang-times in Dec of 2012, has the makings of a very good punter, still getting better as a punter, solid punting prospect GA Elon
29 Carranco, Juan 170 5' 10" Juan is a very talented kicker, his FG range is solid and KO are solid, he had a huge jr season, he is very dependable, not overly explosive but very dependable and coordinated, punting was impressive despite some technical flaws, able to repeat his motion, solid FG kicker TX Lamar University
30 McKee, Brandon 185 6' 2" Brandon has a solid frame and good levers. He charted well on FG's at the 2012 Scholarship Camp. His hang time on KO's are slightly holding him back right now, he has enough power to drive the ball, just needs to work on using the hips and the core more to incorporate more lift into his KO's. Brandon's Punting is ahead of his kicking abilities currently. He charted very well at camp by finishing 8th overall. He is explosive and does a good job of minimizing his mis hits. 31 Millender, Jeb 200 6' O" Jeb showed very well at multiple Southern Showcase Camps, he has worked on his technique and showed more progress, he still needs to work on a couple of technical issues but the ball jumps off his foot very well, has very good talent, has D1 talent, avg 48 yards a punt in HS, impressive "A" ball MS
32 Smith, Spencer 182 6' 1" Spencer has a strong showing in his most recent punting drill work session, when in rhythm looks like a college punter, shows good potential in kicking as well, Spencer attended the 2012 Scholarship Camp and showed well. His KO's have gotten better and he has become more consistent with his FG's, he does show college potential in all three, had great Southern Showcase in Dec of 2012 GA University of Memphis*
33 Huyck, Adam 217 6' 3" Adam looks like a D1 punter, the ball explodes off his foot, he still needs some work on his coordination but has all the tools to be special, was not dominant at 2012 Western Showcase Camp, hands and overall rhythm are not currently at D1 level, leg strength and talent is at D1, improvement will be the key CA
34 Ganter, Gregory 210 6' 2" Greg was invited to compete at the National Scholarship Camp and did very well as a punter, he graded out at the 4.5 star level in punting, his kicking is not at the same level as his punting, Greg has a lot of upside in punting, needs to continue to work on his technique to maximize his talent. 35 Escobar, Jourdan 170 6' 2" Jourdan graded out as a 4 star kicker on both KO's and FG, he also graded out as a 5 star punter at camp as well, his leg strength is very impressive and he is able to repeat his motion effectively at times, he hit 3-4 punts over 4.9 hangs at the Texas Showcase in Dec of 2012, techinique does need refinement TX

40 Bachar, Lake 180 6' 2" Lake opened up a lot of eyes at the Midwest Showcase Camp, his raw talent is very impressive, the ball explodes off of his foot, he hit some of the longest kicks in camp, his technique can improve and that should help his consistency, punting has improved greatly, watch for him in months to come IL UW-Whitewater

Preston 190 5' 11" Preston is is difficult to rank, he has shown an ability to be super explosive by hitting an 80 yd KO's and big punts, his inconsistencies in ball striking hurt him, can punt very well at times, at times has great rhythm and is dominant, he is someone who will play in college, still feel he has talent to move up in the rankings, UC Challenge showed big punting talent, Southern Showcase did not punt as well, FG are solid but not as good as KO's OK Missouri*

SeungJae has gotten much better on KO's and is quickly becoming one of the best pure, FG kickers in the country.
