With another big showing in the NFL preseason, a record 76 Kohl's athletes suited up to battle for roster spots heading into the 2022 NFL regular season. Both veterans and rookies performed with an opportunity to prove they belong.

Last year's major rookie pay-off for an NFL team featured Evan McPherson, drafted by the Bengals. He turned heads with game-winners in both the divisional playoffs and the AFC Championship. That, and tieing the NFL record for most postseason field goals made McPherson a key factor in the Bengals' run at the Super Bowl.

Long Snapper Camaron Cheeseman is a rookie who also took the reigns of a starting job, earning the starting spot after being taken in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders.

New Faces in 2022 // Rookie Kohl's Athletes in the NFL

As the NFL preseason ends and the deadline for teams to cut their roster from 80 to 53 players has passed, a few new faces from Kohl's Camps have made the cut, setting themselves up for their rookie debut during the 2022 NFL regular season.

As expected, drafted specialists including Kohl's kicker Cade York (Browns), punters Jordan Stout (Ravens), Jake Camarda (Bucs), and former camper Trenton Gill (Bears) are listed as starters heading into the season after preseason camps and games.

For undrafted rookies, a few Kohl's punters have taken the spotlight while earning their job on the upcoming regular season depth charts during the NFL Preseason. Punter Ryan Wright earned the no. 1 spot on the depth chart with the Vikings after climbing to the top of league punt charts with a 52-yard preseason average. The Titans have also named Ryan Stonehouse a starter after putting up a 50.2-yard punt average during the preseason.

Wright and Stonehouse both competed at the 2022 Kohl's Pro Combine and were ranked in the top 10 of their respective recruiting class as college prospects with Kohl's.
