Weitzel recently competed at the 2024 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He achieved an overall punt score of 80.51 and scored 12 field goals. Weitzel finished his kickoff charting with an overall score of 85.10, highlighted by a standout ball measuring 60 yards with a hang time of 3.04 seconds. He should be poised for a significant season ahead. Weitzel also came out to the 2024 Kohl´s Midwest Spring Showcase. Here he showed his improvements since his last ranking event earning his 4.5-star rating on his kicking and moving up to a 4-star rated punter. He was able to put up 7 points on the field goal session. During the kickoff charting, Weitzel had a standout ball that reached 67 yards with a hang time of 3.35 seconds. On the punt charting, he had a big ball of 51 yards with a hang time of 3.84 seconds. Weitzel also competed at the 2023 Kohl’s Midwest Winter Showcase. He had a good showing for it being his first ranking event, earning himself a 4-Star on his kicking. He was able to show good command of the football on his field goal session putting up 7 total points.
