Kohl's Comments

Mercer came out to the 2024 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He scored 15 points on field goals, 92.07 on kickoffs, and 85.73 on punt charting. His best kickoff was a 62-yard ball with 3.16 seconds of hang time. His best punt was a 43-yard punt with 3.84 seconds of hang time. Continued focus in the weight room will help Mercer grow over the next two seasons. Mercer competed at his first ranking event at the 2024 Kohl's Texas Showcase Camp. He competed in all three disciplines and scored 73.76 points on punt charting, 6 points during the roll-out punt charting, 6 points on field goals, and 98.15 points on kickoffs. Mercer connected on a 39-yard punt with 3.54 seconds of hang time as his big ball and showed flashes of consistency during the drill work portion of camp. He kicked off well, connecting on a 66-yard kickoff with 3.33 seconds of hang time. Mercer charted multiple kickoffs of 62 yards or more. Increases in leg speed with refinements to his punt drop table will elevate Mercer as a combo athlete in the 2026 class.
