Kohl's Comments

Peters recently attended the 2019 Kohls Future Stars Event at IMG Academy. He once again showed that he has worked hard to gain the confidence needed to compete with athletes ranked ahead of him. Continuing on the path he is on will see some good things happen this upcoming season. Peters had his best showing to date at the 2018 Midwest Winter Showcase. He scored 9 points in the field goal portion of camp. His drill work was excellent at camp and he displayed refined ball striking and a repeatable swing. He charted the best he ever has on kickoffs at camp as well. Increasing his ability to keep the ball extended on his punts should help his development in punting as well. Peters attended the 2018 National Scholarship Camp. His hard work this summer is paying off and he is seeing improved leg strength in both kickoffs and punting. He has great technique and continuing to focus on getting his knee downfield will be key for his development.

Athlete Bio

I have always been raised to follow my dreams. That I can be whatever I want to if I put my heart and soul into. I never thought it would be with football; however, my path in life has led me into the world of kicking and punting.

I started at the age 3 with sports. I fell in love with competing and have always enjoyed all sorts of sports. I started with baseball, soccer, basketball, and added running into the mix at age 9. Around age 13, I was no longer able to play select soccer due to family circumstances out of my mom's control and it is then that I was introduced to the skill of kicking and punting a football. It took some time, but I began to learn to love the skill and wanted to be the best I could. I have grown, both skill and physical, lots over the years with the guidance from Kohls Kicking and their coaching staff.

I am entering my junior year in high school with a 2.9 cum gpa. I understand this is not quite as high as some colleges would like to see; however, please know I am working hard at my studies and I do give 100% in my academics. I have always struggled with academics, but with the help of my mom and my extended family, they have never let me give up and have helped me grow in my studies and knowledge. I hope to increase my gpa to a 3.2 by end of junior year. I have a path set that I hope to stay on in order to get my academics there.

Outside of kicking/punting, I also participate in Varsity Cross Country, JV basketball, Varsity track and field , and did JV baseball (unfortunately baseball now is moving to a spring sport, so I will no longer be able to play). I also volunteer with Waukesha Park and Recreation coaching girls softball in the summer. I have volunteered with Veteran awareness groups with my mom also in the past. I have also volunteered with local running organizations at their races for set up and take down during events. I work as a lifeguard at the local YMCA.
