Johnson recently competed at the 2024 Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp. He should smooth body mechanics through contact throughout the event. Johnson earned an overall punt score of 77.25. His standout ball was measured at a distance of 39 yards with a hang time of 3.43 seconds. Johnson has set himself up for a big upcoming season ahead. Johnson also came out to the 2024 Kohl's Southern Showcase Camp in May. He graded out as a 3.5-star punter at his first ranking event. Johnson scored 81.07 points on punt charting and 2 points on roll-out charting. He demonstrated consistency at times with multiple punts of 35 yards or more. His best punt was a 41-yard punt with 3.37 seconds of hang time. Efforts focused on leg strength and speed in addition to drop consistency will aid Johnson's growth over the next two seasons.
