Kohl's Comments

Hughes had another strong showing at the 2024 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He scored 21 points in the field goal charting and displayed improved command of his "A" ball. His overall score on kickoffs was 93.82 which included a big ball of 61 yards with 3.53 seconds of hang time. He is hitting the ball well and should be poised for a great senior season! Hughes competed at the 2024 Kohl´s Southern Spring Showcase. Here he was able to put up 9 points on the field goal session, demonstrating good ball rotation. During the kickoff charting he ended up with an overall score of 99.35 with his big ball measuring in at 68 yards with a hang time of 3.16 seconds. Hughes continues to have clean mechanics and approach, and he clearly has the potential to compete at the next level. Hughes came out to the 2024 Kohl's Future Stars Camp in January. He scored 6 points on field goals despite some tough conditions. He hits a very clean "A" ball. Hughes scored 91.60 points on kickoff charting with a big ball of 59 yards with 3.43 seconds of hang time. Continued focus on leg strength and speed paired with technical refinements will elevate Hughes' game to the next level.
