Kohl's Comments

Welch recently attended the 2024 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He had another solid showing in all three disciplines. He scored 20/36 possible points in the field goal charting and he produced a kickoff score of 95.05 points. In the punting portion of camp his overall score was 92.36 which included a big ball of 43 yards with 4.59 seconds of hang time. He is hitting the ball well and is poised for a big senior season. Welsh competed at the 2024 Kohl's Eastern Showcase Camp in May. He scored 10 points on field goal charting, 96.85 points on kickoff charting, and 93.63 points on punt charting. His best kickoff traveled 63 yards with 3.40 seconds of hang time. His best punt was a 41-yard punt with 4.34 seconds of hang time. Welsh has big-ball potential. Continued focus on repeatability will contribute to his growth over the next year. Welch had a strong showing at the 2024 Kohl's National Underclassman Challenge. He showed improvement of his command of his "A" ball on field goals and kickoffs.
