Danny Cantarella – Class of 2026 | 4-Star Nationally Ranked Kicker (Kohl’s)
Brand New to Football – Big Leg, Bigger Drive, Limitless Upside
I officially began my football journey on March 1, 2025, and just seven days later, I earned a 4-Star National Ranking from Kohl’s — despite having never practiced a kickoff and only attempting field goals on three occasions before the camp. I’m now training full-time with Kohl’s Academy to prepare as the starting kicker for my high school team this fall.
At the March 8 Dallas Rating Camp, in windy and rainy conditions, I was able to chart two consecutive 56-yard field goals, showing raw power and focus under pressure. I’ve since made major improvements in my technique, correcting key issues with foot plant and follow-through in late March under my new Kohl’s coach. My potential is just beginning to show.
Athletic Background:
I’ve been a committed, award-winning soccer player since the age of four, known for powerful goal kicks, long-range strikes, and field awareness. As I’ve grown in strength and stature (now 6’3", 215 lbs), my leg strength became a game-changer — leading my football coaches to recruit me after several seasons of watching my soccer performance.
Academic & Personal Background:
I’m a Straight-A student, active in community service through my church and charitable organizations, and passionate about being a disciplined, coachable teammate on and off the field.
I will be attending the Kohl’s May 3 Showcase to be filmed and re-evaluated. Video, game film, and additional updates are coming soon.
Thanks for reviewing my profile.
Respectfully,
Danny Cantarella
