Honberger came out to the 2024 Kohl's Eastern Showcase Camp in May. He scored 87.54 points on punts, 4 points on field goals, and 87.00 points on kickoffs. His punting abilities have improved since we saw him last, as he connected on multiple punts with 4.40 seconds of hang time or more. Honberger smashed a 44-yard punt with 4.45 seconds of hang time during camp. Continued focus on technique refinements on field goals and kickoffs will help Honberger blossom into a solid combo prospect in the 2026 class. Honberger had a good showing at the 2024 Kohl's Future Stars Event. Here he competed in all three disciplines. During the field goal session, Honberger put up 7 points. He finished out the kickoff charting with an overall score of 91.40, with his standout ball measuring at a distance of 60 yards with a hang time of 3.25 seconds. During the punt charting, he was really able to connect with a few of his punts that went 40+ yards, with his big ball reaching a distance of 44 yards with a good hang time of 4.15 seconds. Honberger showed that he is a combo specialist that has a lot of potential going into his last two years. Honberger also competed at the 2023 Kohl's Eastern Winter Showcase. Honberger had a great showing for being at his first ranking event. Honberger ended up with slotting 7 points on the field goal session. During the kickoff charting, Honberger showed his consistency while having all of his kicks surpass the 55-yard mark, and his big ball reach a distance of 58 yards with a hang time of 3.33 seconds. As Honberger continues to develop as an athlete he will be a good prospect to keep your eye out for moving forward!
