Gournares competed at the 2024 Kohl's Fall Ranking Event in Texas. He earned another half-star as a punter, scoring 98.50 points on charting. Gounares charted multiple punts of 40 or more yards. His best punt was a 46 yards with 4.26 seconds of hang time. His drop mechanics have improved. Gounares scored a solid 8 points on field goals and 88.35 points on kickoffs. His best kickoff was a 55-yard ball with 3.41 seconds of hang time. Gounares has natural talent as a punter. His field goal mechanics are good, and growth on his kickoffs can help him blossom into one of the most exciting combo prospects in the class of 2027. Gounares came out to the 2024 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He earned another half-star as a kicker and had a good showing. He scored 17 points on field goals, 90.25 points on kickoffs, and 87.79 points on punt charting. Gounares showed good leg speed for a young athlete and showed improvement on his field goal technique. He hit a big kickoff 61 yards with 3,21 seconds of hang time. Gounares can expect to see continued improvements as he continued to work hard on refining his technique and working hard in the weight room. Gounares attended the 2024 Kohl's Southern Showcase Camp in May. He scored 5 points on field goals, 89.60 points on kickoffs, and 91.50 points on punts. His best kickoff traveled 60 yards with 3.19 seconds of hang time. Gounares punted well and earned another half-star. His best punt traveled 37 yards with 4.00 seconds of hang time. Efforts focused in the weight room will contribute to Gounares' success in the future. Gounares recently competed at the 2023 Kohl's Texas Fall Ranking Event. He had an excellent showing at camp and proved to be one of the better young combos at camp. He scored 4 points in the field goal charting and connected with a big ball of 53 yards with 3.60 seconds of hang time in the kickoff charting. During the punting portion of camp, he charted nearly all of his punts over 30 yards including a big ball of 50 yards with 4.15 seconds of hang time.
