Thompson had an excellent showing at the 2025 Kohl's Future Stars Invitational. He scored 6 points in the field goal charting and produced a score of 108.95 in the kickoff charting. In the punt portion of camp he produced a score of 100.25 and had a big ball of 54 yards with 4.34 seconds of hang time. Thompson competed at the 2024 Kohl's Southern Winter Showcase. He showed impressive leg strength and had an outstanding score in the kickoff portion of camp. His overall score was 111.50 which includes a big ball of 74 yards with 3.75 seconds of hang time. He flashed consistency with his ball striking in the field goal charting as well and scored 6 points in the charting.
