Cartwright competed at the 2024 Fall Ranking Event and won the punt competition! He also scored 10/15 on field goals, 98.7 points on kickoffs, and 102.09 points in punting. He is a talented performer who does better in big moments. At the National Scholarship Camp in July of 2024 he again did well and scored 102 points in punting and 101.25 points on kickoffs. He won the 2024 Texas Showcase punt competition and he is only getting better as a punter. His improvement should lead to a fall season! He had another solid showing at the 2024 March Ranking Event. His punt drill work and overall command in punting continue to show he's got D1 potential. He also did well on field goals and kick-offs. He scored 103 points on kick-offs at the event. At Kohl's National Underclassman Challenge, he was very good once again in the punt charting portions of camp. His overall score was 102.51 and his biggest charted punt was 52 yards with 4.28 seconds of hang time. His overall score on kickoffs was 101.40 and he connected with a big ball of 69 yards with 3.44 seconds of hang time. Cartwright competed at a 2023 Showcase Camp in December. He had 106 points on kickoffs and 102.2 points in punting. His best kickoff traveled 71 yards and had 3.53 seconds of hang-time. His best punt was a 49-yard ball with 4.35 seconds of hang-time. Cartwright also showed well at the 2023 Kohl's Texas Fall Ranking Event. He's showcased advanced ball striking and superior leg strength compared to many other top players in the 2025 class!
