Post Senior Season Update - Alaska played a shortened season against only local High Schools. Josh's hard work was rewarded with a state record 56y field goal at East High School this year. Three weeks later he was able to duplicate the feat (56yFG) in his final game at Service High School. He also made a 45 yard FG against Service HS.
His season stats are 3-9 for FG's (misses from 47 (1' short into heavy wind), 52 (bad snap and hold), 52 (wide left), 55 (tipped by rush), 60 (short), 63 (6" short with the wind, same game as short 47y).

Kickoffs - 10 Normal KO's - average distance 64y, average hangtime 3.9sec (69@3.85, 69@3.9, 54@3.4, 60@4.05, 69@3.85, 65@3.9, 62@4.05, 70@3.9, 58@4.05, 62@3.9). He also had 3 onside kick attempts (one recovered, one OOB and one recovered but touched early)
(Josh's school of ~800 played schools of 1,800-2,200 students in a shortened 6 game schedule. Josh plays every play for his undermanned team (only 5 seniors were healthy and they dress 20 for varsity). He is the outside WR on O and #1 DB on D.)
Postseason- Josh was voted 1st Team All Conference at Kicker, Punter and Defensive Back. (All state not announced yet)
Spring/Summer 2020***Josh currently has the charted #14, #18 and #38 kickoff scores in the entire country this year among all Kohl’s kickers and camps. He has attended 2 camps and one regional ranking camp and has KO scores of 105.97 from Ann Arbor, 105.73 from Ohio, and 103.63 from Kansas. That is consistency over time. Coaches, this is the consistency you are looking for. *** Post Nationals Update - Josh had a great experience at the national ranking camp and charted 24/36 points. He made everything under 50y and got 2/6 from both 50 and 55 yards. His KO scores were very good as well.
Personal History - Josh grew up as a soccer player and was asked to kick for the HS football team his Sophomore year. He has been kicking for football since the fall of 2018. In his second season (2019) he is the clear all state kicker in Alaska. After the 2019 season Josh decided to challenge himself and pursue a college scholarship at placekicker.
