Kohl's Comments
Attard had another strong showing at the 2024 Kohl's Texas Fall Ranking Event. He showed improved command of his rotation and increased ability to call on his "A" ball. He scored 9/15 in the field goal charting and produced a kickoff score of 98.30. His biggest charted kickoff was 64 yards with 3.47 seconds of hang time. He commands his body well throughout the approach to the ball and has increased his balance and overall athleticism. Attard competed at Kohl's National Scholarship Camp in July of 2024. He scored 19/36 points on field goals and 100.77 points on kickoffs. Attard also attended Kohl's 2024 Southern Showcase Camp in May. He performed well and showed improved mechanics. He scored 7/15 points on field goals and showcased improved "pop" on his kicks. His "A" ball is very clean, and he needs to continue working on bringing it out more. Attard scored 100.05 points on kickoffs. His best ball traveled 70 yards with 3.32 seconds of hang time. Attard has worked hard to improve his leg strength, and it showed. Leo Attard is a remarkable athlete who excels both as a Kicker for the Cambridge Varsity Football Team and as a Forward for the JV Soccer Team. Beyond his athletic prowess, Leo is a dedicated member of his community. Last year, he selflessly devoted 35 hours to charitable work with the Young Men's League, leaving a positive impact on those around him. Leo's leadership extends beyond the field as he guides a youth group every Sunday morning at North Point Community Church.
Moreover, Leo's commitment to his football team has not gone unnoticed; he was honored last year when his teammates voted him as the Special Teams MVP, a testament to his exceptional contributions on the field. In the realm of community service, Leo's dedication is equally impressive. He received the Outstanding Service award from the Young Men's League for leading his group in service hours last year, showcasing his commitment to making a meaningful difference in his community. In the current year, he continues his outstanding service with 25 hours already completed, further solidifying his status as a role model for service and leadership.
