A total of 39 Kohl's Kicking athletes have made the Lou Groza Award and Ray Guy Award preseason watch lists as we head into the 2018-2019 college football season.
Kohl's CommentsGray recently earned an invite to the Kohl’s Future Stars Event in January of 2018 after a solid performance during the 2017 December Showcase Series. He continues to show good improvement and will continue to grow with some refinement of his technique. Gray attended the Winter Showcase Camp in December of 2017. His repeatability is not consistent enough to be ranked at the next level, but his leg strength is good enough to compete with the athletes ranked ahead of him. Gray's future is going to be based on technical improvement because he has the leg needed to compete. With continued improvement in his consistency he should be a good prospect.
Lifelong soccer player that started kicking in 2017 for High School football as a Freshman. Tall athlete that also plays wide receiver. Plays Center Back for the Colorado Rapids 02 Select Soccer team, 2017 State cup Champions.
As a Freshman only 1 missed extra point in 9 JV games and that was in a strong cross wind. 6 for 6 on Varsity extra points. Kickoffs consistently inside the 5 and sometimes into or out of the back of the end zone. Field goals accurate within 40 yards with some ability out to 50. Punting was average but will improve with practice and coaching.
Sophomore season as full time Varsity place kicker just starting and leg strength significantly improved. Plans to work on punting this winter and spring.
