Kohl's Comments

Class of 2021 kicker Liam Gray recently competed at the 2020 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He showed big improvements from the year prior, especially with his kickoffs. He averaged 113.53 points overall in kickoffs that included 81 and 82-yard kicks, placing him in the top 5 overall at the event. He showed flashes of potential again with his field goals. With continued work over the next few months in ball-striking on his field goals he can work on his consistency to move himself up in the rankings. He is one of the more exciting prospects in terms of potential for the Class of 2021 and is a prospect to keep an eye on going into his senior season.

Athlete Bio

Lifelong soccer player that started kicking in 2017 for High School football as a Freshman. Tall athlete that also plays wide receiver.

As a Freshman in first year kicking only 1 missed extra point in 9 JV games. 6 for 6 on Varsity extra points. Kickoffs consistently inside the 5 and sometimes into or out of the back of the end zone. Field goals accurate within 40 yards with some ability out to 50. Punting was average but will improve with practice and coaching.

Sophomore starting varsity placekicker. Second on the team in scoring and honorable mention all conference. Finished the season 6/9 FGs with a long of 43, 37/39 PATs, and 22/66 Touchbacks.

Junior year also started at WR playing every down while doing all the kicking. Finished 5/9 on FGs with makes of 25, 46, 46, 49, and 51. Misses from 44,45, 49, and 49. Went 24/26 on PATs. 32/51 touchbacks with a 62yd average and 3229 total KO yards. 5 punts with a 60 yard long. 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, 2nd Team All-State.

Senior year chosen pre-season 1st Team All-State, All-Region, and All-Conference. Played a shortened 8 game season losing in the state semifinals. Scored 51 kick points going perfect 36/36 PATs, 5/6 FG (31,34,39,40,42), and 45/57 touchbacks. Also punted. Starting WR leading the team in receptions and yards scoring 11 TDs and tallying 68 points for 119 total points on the season.

Kohl's Athletes Excel in 2021 NFL Draft and Post Draft Signings

With three of the four specialists taken in the 2021 NFL Draft, and the undrafted free agent signings that have followed, the legacy of Kohl's athletes moving on to the NFL has remained strong. With the opening of the Kohl's National Training Center in Texas, the ability for Kohl's NFL Draft eligible kickers, punters, and long snappers to prepare for the NFL Combine and Pro Day has reached a new level.
