Kohl's Comments

Gemes came out to the 2024 Kohl's Midwest Showcase Camp in May. He graded out as a 3.5-star athlete at his first ranking camp. Gemes excelled the most on kickoffs during camp. His leg strength was on display during kickoff charting as he scored 97.05 points. His big ball traveled 63 yards with 3.44 seconds of hang time. He scored 1 point on field goal charting and was able to connect nicely on a few kicks during the drill work portion of camp. Gemes was receptive to some coaching and adjusted well during drill work. A focus on repeatability will pair nicely with Gemes' leg strength. We are excited to continue following his success over the next year.

Athlete Bio

I have played soccer for most of my life and in the summer before my Sophomore year, 2022, my family and I moved to Warsaw, MO. When we made this move it gave me the opportunity to play football for the first time. In the 2022-23 season I was very successful throughout the year with kicking and now have found a great passion for kicking. During our practices, we only practice special teams once a week and occasionally throughout the week so I always put in extra work before or after practice to be the best I possibly could be. I have always taken my academics very seriously and currently have a 4.0 GPA. With both of my parents working in education, it has influenced me to strive to do my absolute best in academics.
