With schools like Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and more, the Kohl's Kicking Class of 2018 is rolling in the commitments as signing period has begun.
Kohl's CommentsQualls attended the Winter Showcase Camp in December of 2017. He shows potential and has good athleticism but technical progress is needed to maximize his full potential. Improvement in ball rotation will help him make good progress over the upcoming years. With some refinement he will see significant changes in his ball striking and accuracy. He has a good foundation which he can improve upon over the years to come.
I am 2020 student athlete with a 3.78 GPA who aspires to be a Division I kicker. I started to learn to kick during week five of my freshman year and the remainder of the season was strong enough to earn All-State honorable mention. As a sophomore, I am 82/91 on Extra Points (with only three that were kicked that were missed), and four field goals with a long in the game of 40 yards. I have hit from 50+ in practice in live conditions but have not had an opportunity beyond 40 in a game. My kickoff range is consistently 55 yards in game competition and will certainly continue to become stronger. Overall body strength is also important to me and is evident through a 235 bench press and 300 pound squat. My competitive nature through also playing Wide Reciever and Defensive Back as well as basketball and track (300 hurdles and high jump) allow me to enjoy what some may view as pressure situtations on Friday nights under the lights.
