    Kohl's Comments

Slavin competed at the 2018 Midwest Winter Showcase Camp and he charted in all three disciplines at camp. Creating more confidence with his drop in punting will be important for his continued progress. Increasing the extension of his arm and smooth release should really help his punting improve. In field goals staying taller on his plant leg should help him create cleaner contact on the football and help improve his accuracy. He scored 3 points in the field goal charting and was able to hit a big ball of 54 yards with 3.03 seconds.

COACH PETER HEIL, KICKING COACH, BATESVILLE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL

    Athletic ability: 7/10

    Leadership: 9/10

    Team player: 10/10

    Easy to work with: 10/10

Ability: "Nate came to football his junior year and could already kick extremely well just off of physical talent. He demonstrated great strength and body control so with just a little guidance, he quickly developed into a weapon. Nate has a very high ceiling and will certainly put in the work to achieve his potential. A broken leg halted a little bit of progress this past offseason, but his work ethic got him back on the field remarkably soon."

Personality: "Nate is an incredibly coachable kid. He is willing to take a step back to take two steps forward in respect to changing or improving technique. Nate has truly become a friend of mine while I have been coaching him. He is eager to learn and a pleasure to be around at practice. He seems to always approach practice with an open mind and an eagerness to improve."
