Kohl's Comments

Botts competed at the Kohl's 2022 Winter Showcase where he charted in both field goals and kickoffs. After scoring a consistent 8 total points on field goals, Botts had a solid kickoff chart with his two biggest kicks being 91.3 and 89.5 points with an average total score of 90.4 points. With more focus on the mechanics of kickoff contact, Botts should see even more improved metrics on kickoffs. Botts had a similar performance at the Senior Challenge in January of 2023 where he averaged 94.75 points on kick-offs. Botts also competed at the 2022 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He scored a big ball of 58 yards with 3.43 seconds of hang time in his kickoff charting at camp. His tempo was consistent and if he can continue to clean up his contact, he will see increased distance on his kickoffs. He scored 8 points in the field goal charting portion of camp.
