    Kohl's Comments

Howe recently attended the 2017 Midwest Spring Showcase Camp. He displayed high level field goal ability by charting 7 made kicks. He was consistent with his kickoffs but he does need to get stronger in order to move up to the 4.5 rankings. He flashed solid potential in his punts as well. He has a long frame and soft hands. Catching the ball cleaner and molding it faster should help his punting ability improve.

    Peyton's Bio

I am a 6'2" 187 lbs. member of the graduating class of 2018. My sophomore year I handled all PAT and field goal duties at the varsity level and this past season, my junior year, I handled all kicking duties including FG’s, PAT’s, punting, and kick offs. As I was the only available kicker, I have also played a full JV schedule the past two years, meaning I have over 40 games worth of experience in consecutive seasons. This year I won the special teams player of the year for my team, I was an all-conference honorary mention for place- kicker my junior year, I appear four times in the Bishop Luers football record book and look to appear many more times by the end of my senior year. Over the past two years I feel that I have earned my varsity coaches and teammates trust and respect through hard work in the off season and with my high level of game preparation. I try to be a leader to the under classmen by participating in all off season workouts, camps, and practices. I also feel that the high level of talent within both my team and the SAC conference have prepared me to play at a high level of competition.

I hold a cumulative 3.25 GPA and serve in many student activities and service groups. I was selected to be a Sodalitas Group Leader for 2016-2017 school year. These Sodalitas (Latin meaning for association or fraternity) are groupings of Bishop Luers students that are formed to serve the larger Fort Wayne community. It may include working with children, building relationships with nursing home residents or other public service projects. I bribe my group with candy frequently to keep them engaged. I take the corporal works of mercy very seriously, I want to give back.

I also serve on our student council and often am asked to fulfill the role of student ambassador for Bishop Luers High School on open house nights where I function as a tour guide and endorse our school to prospective families. I also fulfill the role of student ambassador by travelling to several of our "feeder schools" to speak to middle school students about the great faith filled academic and extra curricular activities at BLHS. I actually enjoy speaking to groups and being in front of others professing what I am passionate about.

I am an active server on Sundays at our church, Most Precious Blood, serving Father Joe Gaughn during morning Mass. I have always served in Church since the third grade and enjoy being an active part of the Mass. This upcoming season I will be a Kick-It Champion, raising money to fight childhood cancer with every point I score.

In college, I want to study Business. Most likely with a concentration leading towards management, potentially automotive retail.
