Athlete Bio
Riley O’Neill began his football career at 9 years old and immediately fell in love with the game. He quickly became a starting Guard for the Jr. Chiefs team and has played that position into High School. Not only is he a powerful force on the offensive line, he also plays intelligent. Riley has played some defense as well, including Defensive End and Nose Tackle.
During his eighth grade football season, on a suggestion from his cousin who was a Long Snapper in college (Huntingdon University), Riley decided to give that position a try. He sought out a local snapping coach to learn the art and was immediately hooked. He learned very quickly and was able to bring a new dimension to his football team, who rarely made decisions to punt.
At Sequoyah High School in Canton, GA, Riley became the starting Long Snapper for the 9th grade freshman team and was awarded “Special Teams Player of the Year”. This 2024 football season, Riley was the starting Guard and Long Snapper for the Chiefs.
Riley is a dual athlete. He has played Goalie for his school lacrosse team for the last two seasons. Off the field, he currently has a 4.44 GPA and has scored all 5’s in the last two years of AP testing. Currently he is ranked #2 in his graduating class of 2026. His SAT score is 1520 and ACT is 35 and he plans on taking both again because he insists on getting higher scores. He is a member of his school’s Beta Club and National Honor Society. In his freshman year he was awarded Science Student of the Year. Riley is also a Key Scholar and holds a part-time job as a basketball referee in his spare time.
He is a hard worker and is always looking for ways to improve himself and his performance both on and the field. He puts in the extra work when no one is looking. Riley plans to attend college in 2026 and would love the opportunity to play football for the school he commits to.
