Young competed at the 2024 Kohl's Midwest Winter Showcase. He connected on 3 field goals and posted a 93.75 kickoff score, with a standout ball of 59 yards and 3.62 seconds of hang time. In punting, he earned an overall score of 84.27, highlighted by a best ball traveling 36 yards with a 4.34-second hang time. Young can continue to develop this offseason. Young competed at the 2024 Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp, finishing with an overall punt score of 74.24. His standout punt was a 38-yard ball with a hang time of 3.30 seconds. Young also achieved an overall kickoff score of 82.27. Additionally, he posted a score of 5 on the field goal session. Young is entering his last year and it will be fun to see how he continues to improve. Young also attended the 2024 Kohl's Midwest Showcase Camp in May. It was his first ranking event. Young scored 1 point on field goals, 83.42 points on punts, and 5 points on roll-outs. Young showed flashes of consistency punting the football, striking multiple punts of 35 yards or more. His best punt was a 40-yard punt with 3.62 seconds of hang time. Young's abilities fit the mold of a punter, but with continued hard work on his field goal mechanics he can become a strong combo athlete.
