Kohl's Comments

Wells recently attended the Kohl's Southern Showcase Camp and the Kohl's Future Stars Event in the winter of 2021. His "A" ball is outstanding and he scored over 102 points punting in May of 2021. He has the leg talent required to compete at the next level. Wells can continue to refine his technique in order for his big ball to show up more often. He has the leg talent required to be a dominant punting prospect in the 2022 class!

Athlete Bio

Tyler is a multi-talented SS/Punter from the class of 2022, who has demonstrated the skills, athleticism and desire to be a highly recruited athlete by the time he enters his season. He started on varsity football and baseball as a sophomore, earned HONORABLE MENTION ALL REGION FOOTBALL AS A SOPHOMORE. As a junior he was selected All State honorable mention team, 1st team all region punter and 2nd team all region Strong Safety. As a Strong Safety - HE IS A BEAST. He has elite speed and size, and he has the versatility to also play WR, FS, or CB. He displays excellent play recognition, and once he sees it is a run, he attacks the ball carrier with great velocity and aggressiveness, this results in the ball carrier immediately going down. He also has great pass play awareness, seeing the pass play develop early, then attacking the WR in his area, and breaking up the pass in his area or intercepting the pass. His excellent speed and tackling skills come into play on every play, on plays on the other side of the field, he uses very good attack angles to prevent the cutback. He has an incredible motor, giving 100% every time he steps on the field. As a punter, he displays excellent technique, he averaged 38.2 yds per kick, long of 62 yds and he has excellent hang-time on his punts. Tyler also is known as a leader both on the field and off.

Tyler not only is a very good football player, he is an excellent student carrying a 4.0 GPA and he has a 1150 SAT score. He wants to be the best he can be, whether on the field, in the weight room or in the classroom. His goal is to play college football at the highest level, and there is no question that with his skills, work ethic and desire, his dream will come true.

Kohl's Athletes Excel in 2021 NFL Draft and Post Draft Signings

With three of the four specialists taken in the 2021 NFL Draft, and the undrafted free agent signings that have followed, the legacy of Kohl's athletes moving on to the NFL has remained strong. With the opening of the Kohl's National Training Center in Texas, the ability for Kohl's NFL Draft eligible kickers, punters, and long snappers to prepare for the NFL Combine and Pro Day has reached a new level.
