With colleges finishing up signing their 2019 class, their recruiting efforts are now focused on the juniors (c/o 2020). Kohl's CommentsFord has attended previous camps with the most recent being the Spring Showcase Camp in May of 2018.He had a solid camp with his punting and showed the ability to do some impressive things as a specialist. Ford attended the 2017 Southern Spring Showcase. He showed solid refinement in his technique on field goals by making 5 in the charting. He averaged nearly 58 yards per kick off and showed sound technique in his ball striking and consistency in his kickoff approach. He can continue to focus in on his leg strength improvement and focus on staying straight through contact during field goals.
Zach Ford has been the starting kicker at Calera High School since his freshman year, class of 2019. He has enjoyed working out with Steven Clark, an All-American punter out of Auburn, over the past two years. His high school coach, Andrew Zow, former QB for Alabama, awarded him the Special Teams MVP for the last two years and says that he is one of his most consistent players.
