High School Training Camps

Details on the 2010 Kohl's Camp System

 

Kohl's has set up a way for each camper to learn, train, familiarize themselves with the staff, and compete against the best specialists in a certain region.  All of this takes place a training camp.  We have a coach to camper ratio that is 8-1 or less at every training camp. The focus of these camps is to help each athlete improve through film analysis, classroom instruction, field instruction, field drill work, and competition drills.  It is helpful to see an athlete in a training setting and see how they respond to coaching. 

 

Kohl's also has private training options for athletes looking to get more video analysis done with lower camper to coach ratio.  These events are 4 hours long and provide more training and less competition than a training camp. There are certain private lessons listed online and you may also call and set up a private lesson with a Kohl's staff member as well. NOTE: May, June, and July are very busy months to set up private lessons. 

Kohl's also offers 10 Showcase Camps throughout the year.  We offer five camps in spring and five camps in the winter. We will hold one camp in spring and one in winter in the five recruiting regions of the US (NE, SE, Texas, Midwest, West).  We adjust our national rankings after each Showcase Camp Tour. We base the majority of our rankings on how an athlete performs in pressure situations.  These camps are designed to offer a camper a chance to prove themselves in pressure situations and to separate themselves from others in their recruiting class.  The timing of these camps are very important because each athlete will carry their rank into the important recruiting month of May and then also carry their rank into the important recruiting period before signing day in February.
