Kohl's Kicking National Player of the Week
The Kohl's staff wants to recognize Kohl's kicking, punting, and long snapping prospects across the country for their outstanding performances each week during the 2024-2025 high school football season.
We only evaluate campers that we have personally seen at a Kohl's camp. In order to assure yourself a ranking you must attend a Kohl's Showcase camp or the Scholarship camp.
When ranking we ask the question, "If there was a college game today, is this athlete ready to help a college team win?". We look at the camp charts and take into account the different conditions at each camp. We also look strongly at how an athlete performs in drill work when they know they are being evaluated and graded. We see how they handle pressure and react in the camp competitions. We see certain athletes multiple times a year and try to grade them on their average performance.
There will be over 300 Kohl's high school seniors playing college football next season. There are many good prospects at the 4.0 and 4.5 star levels that will start in college in the future.

Delaney
has proven at multiple Kohl's events that he has D1 talent on KO's and punts.
He won the UC Challenge in Jan of 2016 by averaging almost 7 yards more per
KO than his closest competitor. His KO's are different than other very good
2017 players and his punting is very consistent and impressive. He drives the
ball farther than anyone in the 2017 class in punting. His FG off the ground
are improving but not quite at the same level as his KO's and punts. He can
be weapon at the D1 level in year one. Delaney earned a spot in the Under
Armour All-American Game with his dominant performance at the National
Scholarship Camp in July of 2016. |

and finished in the top 10 in 2016. He averaged over 51 yards per punt year
one and he also averaged over 44 yards with 4.45 seconds of hang-time in year
two. His consistency and ability to compete are what separate him from others
in the 2017 class. He was the first committed punter in the 2017 class and
could have attained 10 or more offers had he chosen to do so. Harvin is a
very special punter who has as much upside as anyone else in the 2017 class. |

Patterson had shown well at multiple Kohl's events in 2016. He is a very good kicker who can make kicks under pressure. He has done well amongst his peers. His punting has also improved since Jan of 2016. Patterson has the tools to help a college program in both kicking and punting. He should continue to develop athletically in the years to come and seems to have the mind-set needed to be a very good college kicker. |
