1. 2020 National punter Ratings

We only evaluate campers that we have personally seen at a Kohl's camp. In order to assure yourself a ranking you must attend a Kohl's Showcase camp or the Scholarship camp.

When ranking we ask the question, "If there was a college game today, is this athlete ready to help a college team win?". We look at the camp charts and take into account the different conditions at each camp. We also look strongly at how an athlete performs in drill work when they know they are being evaluated and graded. We see how they handle pressure and react in the camp competitions. We see certain athletes multiple times a year and try to grade them on their average performance.

Kohl's sees more athletes than anyone else in America at our 135 events.

There will be over 300 Kohl's high school seniors playing college football next season. There are many good prospects at the 4.0 and 4.5 star levels that will start in college in the future.

He displayed excellent leg strength for his age on kickoffs. His big ball was 64 yards with a 3.23 second hang. He was more consistent of field goals during the drill work portion of camp as well. Ortiz has the leg speed to punt, creating a more consistent drop will be key for his continued development.

His coordination is coming along nicely and he is beginning to really swing his levers well. Continued focus on clean rotation and command of his body will help him make progress in his field goals. He scored 20 points at camp and was able to chart several 65+ yard kickoffs with a big ball of 70 yards with 3.22 hang. Controlling the drop and not allowing the nose to move around will help his punting develop as well. Rice earned an invite to the Kohl’s Future Stars Event in January of 2018 after a solid performance during the 2017 December Showcase Series. He had an impressive charting phase on field goals with 7 made during the event.

He showed confidence in his roll-out punts and hit some big balls during the charting session. Creating more consistency with his drop should help improve his ability to create better hang as well. His charts were not as consistent as we have seen on numerous other times on field goals. Creating confidence in his ball flight will be key for getting that command back. Richardson competed at the 2018 Texas Spring Showcase. He has gotten stronger and the ball is jumping off of his foot. He charted 8 made field goals and his big ball was 71 yards with 3.37 seconds of hang-time. Creating move drive up and through the ball with his hips should increase his hang time and help his overall kickoff ability improve.
